Llevant beach
Llevant is located near the salt lakes opposite the spit on the territory of the nature reserve. This is the farthest municipal beach in the north of Formentera Island. There's a lot of nudists and lovers of being in silence, resting from the hustle and bustle. It's open since 2006 and it's the youngest beach on the northern coast of the island. It used to be considered wild, abandoned and deserted. Windy, high waves – ideal conditions for surfers and lovers of the turbulent Mediterranean Sea.

Beach description
Llevant is a clean sandy beach with a wide shoreline and smooth increase in depth. There aren't many people because of the long waves and windy weather. The water is clear, transparent and blue. The bottom is visible: you can see white sand, little fishes and small algae. There are areas with rocky bottom. There are pines and sand dunes around the perimeter. The place is suitable for surfing. The water warms up to 30 degrees Celsius in the hottest months: July, August.
When is it better to go
The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.

Infrastructure
The beach has a shower with fresh water, a toilet. You can have a snack and a coffee at one of the two coastal cafes. The food is great, the assortment is good, the prices are competitive. You can rent deck chairs, umbrellas. In the southern part of Playa Llevant, there is a children's playground, observation terraces for adults. Hotels are located near the beach, as well as apartments with excellent service, spas and swimming pools.
You can get to the beach by bicycle rented in the hotel, taxi, car or shuttle bus. The entrance is charged because Llevant is located on the territory of the nature reserve. There is a parking lot, a restaurant with delicious Mediterranean cuisine. There's a ferry running from noisy Ibiza to the beach by sea. The trip will take 50 minutes.
