S’alga beach

S’alga is a spacious virgin beach that welcomes a large influx of locals and tourists during peak seasons. It is located on the island of S'Espalmador, 150 meters from Formentera.

Beach description

S’alga is formed by fine rose-white sand. It's lagoon sparkles with turquoise crystal clear waters. The back of the beach is occupied by a vast range of dunes covered with juniper. The natural sulfur-mud bath is one of the local attractions, bathing in which has a healing effect on the skin. However, the island's secluded geography makes it difficult to get to the source.

A small boat trip is the perfect way to get to know S’alga beach. Shallow depths, coastal reefs, and lots of small islets require the most careful anchoring. Tourists wishing to relax at S’alga are advised to take the Barca Bahia boat taxi, which regularly departs to the S'Espalmador island from the port of La Savina and the Illetas beach.

A visit to S’alga beach is a unique opportunity to spend a few happy hours on a completely deserted island. It's important to bring everything you need because there are no restaurants, kiosks, bars, sun loungers and umbrellas in this corner of paradise. The only amenities here are clean water and silky sand.

When is it better to go
