Cala Macarelleta beach
Cala Macarelleta is the main feature of Menorca. Despite its small size the beach is very popular among tourists: youth, families with children and those who like to spend their time away from the noisy cities.

Beach description
This heavenly place with crystal clear water is located 14 km away from Ciutadella. You can get to the secluded bay that forms the beach by sea or by land: taxi or rented car are the best options.
The nearby paid parking lot is located a couple of minutes away from the beach. And those who want to save their money can leave their car on a free parking lot and walk to the beach, which will take just 10 minutes.
The small picturesque beach is located in a secluded bay shaped by the mountains covered in thick conifer trees.
The territory, 140 m long and 40 m wide, is protected from the winds. So the sea stays calm and warm even during bad weather. The sandy beach forms a smooth descent into water. The water is so clean and transparent that you can see the small sea dwellers even from the coast.
The beach is almost always crowded by people who want to see one of the most beautiful places in Menorca with their own eyes. Great conditions for families and young visitors are maintained on the beach. A beach bar is located near the coastal area, showers and toilets are available. The boat rental, however, is unavailable.
When is it better to go
The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.

Infrastructure
There are no hotels or rental stores near the beach. If you intend to spend the whole day here, don't forget to bring your own umbrella and food if you aren't going to visit the local bar.
