Beach description
The longest beach on Menorca is located 6,5 km away from Alaior. You can get to the azure beach by car or public transport. The main feature of Son Bou is its length. The coastline is 2,4 km long and 120 m wide.
The flat coast is covered in soft white sand that gets warm very quickly. That's why the beach is very popular among tourists who visit Menorca with young children. The descent is smooth, but the waves are quite strong, especially during windy weather.
A small island, Escull de sa Galera, is located about 300 m away from the shore, and you can go there if you rent a boat.
