Iztuzu beach

Iztuzu Beach is a 4 kilometers long sandy zone at the end of a river delta surrounded by mountains. When in aerial view, it seems to be an oblong peninsula surrounded by crystal clear water and the exceptional beauty of nature. Iztuzu is ideal for those who like a secluded and comfortable stay.

Beach description

Iztuzu is also known as Turtle Beach. From May to August, loggerhead reptiles (Caretta Caretta) crawl here to lay eggs. The beach administration strictly monitors the safety of turtles, so Iztuzu is equipped with tools designed to protect these animals during the peak of the tourist invasion.

The beach infrastructure is designed with minimal environmental impact in mind. Iztuzu is equipped with sunbeds, picnic tables and cafes. Umbrellas are also provided to vacationers for sun protection. Snorkeling is available for entertainment, but strong waves can seriously interfere with underwater explorers.

You can get to Iztuzu by bicycle or by car from the city of Dalyan. There is parking at the south end of the beach, and its northern tip serves for mooring boats. The beach is closed from 8 pm to 8 am.
