Klong Kloi beach
Klong Kloi beach is a secluded place in the bay on the south coast of the island. It takes its name from the Thai word "klong", or "channel", which flows along the beach, and then divides it into two parts. Mangroves grow on both coasts, creating an enchanting tropical scenery.

The beach lies on the very south of the island, at the very end of the main “horseshoe” road, that rounds it. One kilometer to the west is the fishing village of Bang Bao - therefore this beach is marked with the same name as the settlement on the maps.
Stretching from east to west, Klong Kloi Beach is one of the widest beaches of Koh Chang Island: here it is possible to put two or even three rows of sunbeds. Since Klong Kloi is located on the south side of the island, it is usually hotter here, than on other beaches, and only the shadows of palm trees can protect from the sun - fortunately, here the trees grow especially densely. This beach is ideal for those, who set themselves the goal of getting a golden tan. Cote d'Azur, bright sun, crumbly sand - all this can easily be got at Klong Koi.
A couple of years ago, this area was completely undeveloped: of the people here only a family of Thai fishermen lived. But over time, this order of things began to change, and in 2007 the first bars and restaurants appeared on the beach, attracting hiking explorers, who came so far to the south. Following the tourists, hotels also appeared. Recently, the beach began to gain popularity with Eastern Europeans, which can be a definite advantage, if you prefer to spend a vacation in the company of compatriots.
