Pearl beach
On Pearl Beach you will not be able to find pearls, scattered in the sand - on the contrary, it is rocky and shingly, and there is no sand at all. On the short strip between White Sand Beach and Chai Chet Hotel you will not find a lot of tourists or rich infrastructure - but this place is attractive with this. Here it is possible to seclude and forget about crowds, without leaving the bosom of civilization.

Sometimes, marked on the sites of travel agencies as part of the White Sand, Pearl Beach does not correspond to its name at all: there is no pleasing variety of shops, restaurants and discotheques here, the busy tourist life remains north of White Sand. There is no sand - it is possible to swim only in special slippers so as not to get hurt on the bottom. A couple of good hotels are still available, but there are also very few tourists there. In general, silence and calm are the main advantages of this place.
Pearl Beach can boast of the best snorkeling on the island, however, to see the beautiful reefs, you have to swim off 50-70 meters from the coast: since, shallow water stretches very far into the sea. When diving, you will see much more fish, than in other places.
If you already know the beach or plan to stay on the island for at least three weeks, then this place is a good option due to its relative proximity to sandy beaches and inexpensive accommodation.
When is the best time to go?
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.

Infrastructure
Infrastructure is not rich and diverse. There are about 10 hotels on the beach, that have both standard rooms and bungalows. A shingly beach is the main reason, that it is here, where it is possible to find the best options in terms of price / quality ratio: Compared to the neighboring White Sand and Klong Prao, hotel prices for accommodation are almost two times cheaper. Some hotels even introduce services such as free scooter rentals to attract guests.
KeereetaResortandSpa, although it is not great, it is cozy and can offer traditional Thai-style rooms with sea view. The terrace reveals a hill with an array of tropical jungle. Huge Koh Chang Resortel has an Olympic pool, the largest on the island. Starting blocks are similar in appearance to starting blocks at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. A huge advantage for guests is the fact, that few people heard about the hotel, so it is possible to book a room here for less than 1000 baht per day, almost at any time of the year.

In the beach area there is the main post office of the island, from where you can send a postcard to friends and relatives from the southern skies. Stamps trade flourishes here.
Also nearby there is a large Tesco Lotus supermarket. This is the only place on the entire island, where it is possible to buy fresh pastries. Here is the office of Dive Supply company, a supplier of diving and snorkeling equipment, and next to it is a Honda scooter auto center.
If you liked the island so much that you want to buy real estate, then the land next to Pearl Beach is the only one on the west coastline of the island, that you can buy. A private area, built here, locals even nicknamed the Beverly Hills of Koh Chang island .
