Beach description
The 3 km long beach is covered in thick large sand which is comfortable to walk on barefoot. A row of thickets, with cafes, restaurants, shops, hotels and massage parlours underneath, stretches along the coastline.
The beach has a well-developed infrastructure. Coastal buildings offer sunbeds even if you don't order food or beverages. The descent is smooth with a long shallow area, perfect for young children. The sea bottom is sandy and solid, the water is warm with no waves. Sometimes you can see small jellyfish in the water. The sea is dragged back 50-70 meters during low tides. Stones can be felt about 10 m away from the beach.
Coastal facilities offer various Thai and international food, fast food, coffee and tea of different kinds, cool and alcoholic beverages. Klong Nin isn't very popular so finding a spot is never a challenge. Tourists include people of all ages and families with children. The beach isn't popular among youth as there are no extreme activities available and the sea is quite shallow.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
