Beach description
The resort is located in a comfortable bay, with its coastline being 200 m long. Sai Kaew, Jeps Beach, Ao Tubtim and Ao Hin Khok beaches are all within walking distance from here. The coastline is wide, especially during low tides. The beach is covered in white sand, with occasional stone patches. The descent is smooth and shallow, and the depth rises gradually. Many picturesque boulders that serve as the "wall" between Ao Phai and other east coast beaches of Samet Island are located in the south of the beach. The water temperature gets to 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum air temperature is 28 degrees Celsius. Many tourists come throughout the whole year.
All the necessary infrastructure is available for the visitors:
- umbrellas and sunbeds,
- massage,
- hotels,
- mini-market,
- the cheapest bike rental on the island,
- cafes, bars and restaurants,
- ATMs,
- night clubs.
Ao Phai is a great place with a rocky cape, corals and exotic fish that attract snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. Fire shows and parties happen during the night.
When is it better to go
