Beach description
The resort welcomes its visitors with a magnificent landscape, breathtaking views and a lot of tropical greenery and tall trees. Palm trees create natural shadows after noon. Exotic bird species inhabit the jungles. The coast is covered in grainy white sand, nice to the touch, with stones mixed in on the edges of the bay. The azure ocean is clean and transparent. You won't encounter high waves and strong wind.
Only one hotel with a bar and a restaurant operates on the beach. Excursions to the nearby islands and other beaches on Ko Samet can be booked at the hotel. There are rental stores with kayaks and snorkeling equipment.
Ao Wai best suits those who prefer calm and quiet vacations. The depth rise is gradual, the bottom is shallow near the beach. It's perfect for families with young children. A coral reef that attracts diving and snorkeling enthusiasts is located near the north coast. Such exotic fish species as moray eels, anemones and clownfish inhabit the local waters.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
