Beach description
Discover the enchanting Dream Beach in Egypt, a hidden gem nestled among rugged bays and serene creeks, each lovingly embraced by the surrounding hotels. The central stretch of this intimate paradise spans approximately half a kilometer in length and forty meters in width, offering a cozy retreat for sun-seekers.
While much of the coastline boasts a stony tapestry, dense with scattered boulders and areas marked by jagged rocks that only faintly mimic pebbles, a thoughtful touch has transformed this landscape. Sand, with its large grains and bright golden hue, has been specially imported to grace the beach. This vibrant, juicy shade is a striking contrast to the surrounding city's gray palette, creating a visual feast for the eyes.
Adjacent to the beach and within the man-made bays, the waters are invitingly shallow, rarely exceeding one and a half meters in depth. Yet, a mere ten meters from shore, the depth increases significantly. The strait between Hurghada and the nearby island plunges to an impressive depth of around ten meters. Near the island of Juzu Abu Minkar, a myriad of shallows and coral reefs abound, yet caution is advised as the area is frequented by sea boats and lies nearly a kilometer away, making swimming less advisable.
Thanks to the island's role as a natural breakwater, the beach is graced with gentle waves, even during low tides, ensuring a tranquil experience for all who visit.
Optimal Time for a Beach Getaway
The best time to visit Egypt for a beach vacation is typically during the spring and fall months, specifically from March to May and from September to November. During these periods, the weather is pleasantly warm, making it ideal for enjoying the country's stunning beaches. It's important to avoid the peak summer months from June to August, as temperatures can soar above 30°C (86°F), which might be uncomfortable for some travelers. Additionally, the winter months from December to February, while mild, can be too cool for those looking to spend time in the water.
