Ras Shitan beach
Ras Shitan, or "Devil's Head" - a secluded, quiet place on the Red Sea near the city of Nuweiba, ideal for lovers of nature and meditation. It is also popular for diving among underwater canyons, caves, plateaus, corals, fish of various colors and shades. "Devil's Head" is located on both sides of a huge rock, and this has provided the name for the place.

Accommodation here is organized in campsites instead of hotels, clean bamboo huts and wooden bungalows with sea views, which adds color to a simple, harmonious vacation in Shitan.
The beach is ascetic and rocky, special shoes are required. But there are less vacationers, and the water is cleaner, and the visibility for exploring the underwater world is greater. The best underwater photos are made in Ras Shitan. The sea is quiet there are almost no waves there. The winds are unobtrusive, perfectly help to deal with the heat.

When is it better to go?
Red Sea resorts are open year-round. However, in July and August it is better to refrain from traveling, because there is unbearable heat, approximately 35-40 degrees, you can sunbathe in the sun instantly. May-June and September-October is the best time to travel to Egypt, because the heat is decreasing and hotel prices are getting lower (since the Mediterranean holiday season is still open).
