Soma Bay beach

Soma Bay is a peninsula about 5 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide, surrounded on all sides by the sea, on the west coast of the Red Sea, 45 kilometers away from Hurghada. There is a white sandy beach, panoramic sea views and a wide variety of water sports.

Beach description

A sunny day lasts about 8 hours, and when sunset sets in, it's time for a romantic walk along a jetty stretching far into the water or dinner on the beach. You will get the perfect combination of active (beach volleyball, diving, kitesurfing, golf, sailing) and relaxing (SPA, hydrotherapy, cosmetic, wellness treatments, seaweed wraps, underwater massages) relaxation.

Winds prevail here, what is favorable to kite safari and windsurfing, and calm and clear waters, bright coral reefs attract divers from beginners to professionals. The opportunity to undergo thalassotherapy should be noted separately – healing with mineral-rich seawater and algae.

It is important that the need for special shoes for entering the sea is not required. This will appeal to vacationers with children.

When is it better to go?

Red Sea resorts are open year-round. However, in July and August it is better to refrain from traveling, because there is unbearable heat, approximately 35-40 degrees, you can sunbathe in the sun instantly. May-June and September-October is the best time to travel to Egypt, because the heat is decreasing and hotel prices are getting lower (since the Mediterranean holiday season is still open).
