El-Gharam beach
El-Gharam Beach is located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, 17 kilometers away from the resort town of Mersa Matruh. The name of the beach translates as "Coast of love." You can get to the beach from the city by boat or taxi. Here are gentle waves and soft sand, endless lulling blue color pleasant to the eyes.

Gharam Beach, while being located very close to civilization, is still secluded and original. It is wide, the sand is clean and light, without corals, stones, shells - you can safely walk and play with young children. The coasts are decorated with white cliffs.
There are no cold currents, the water is warm and calm, the bottom is gradually gaining depth. The underwater world is picturesque and safe - you can swim even in the evening. Well, one can’t do without diving - there are fascinating sites for diving on the El Gharam beach.
If you want to make a short trip, let it be a trip to the main attraction of the entire resort of Mersa Matruh – to the baths of Cleopatra - a rocky bay where the queen herself liked to rest.
When is it better to go?
Red Sea resorts are open year-round. However, in July and August it is better to refrain from traveling, because there is unbearable heat, approximately 35-40 degrees, you can sunbathe in the sun instantly. May-June and September-October is the best time to travel to Egypt, because the heat is decreasing and hotel prices are getting lower (since the Mediterranean holiday season is still open).
