Boca-Chica beach

The beach, covered in grainy light sand, is known for its smooth descent into water and the calm coastal waters protected from the waves and currents by the bay. Several small picturesque islands with white sandy beaches are scattered near the Boca-Chica coast, and you can get there by boat. The closest island - Boca-Brava - is located just 200 m away from Boca-Chica.

Boca-Chica is a perfect place for diving, snorkeling and underwater swimming enthusiasts. All the underwater details can be seen through the transparent water: coral reefs, hundreds of tropical fish, small crabs, clams and starfish. Sea turtles, dolphins, stingrays, flying fish, eels and moray eels can be encountered in the Boca-Chica water area.

The tourist infrastructure of Boca-Chica is just starting to develop, however, the rich underwater world and the magnificence of the tropical forests that surround the village attract large crowds of tourists. The amount of beach hotels, restaurants, entertainment centers and sports complexes is ever growing, and an active hotel construction on the Boca Brava, Isla Muertos and other islands is continuing.

When is it better to go

Favorable time for a beach holiday in Panama begins in the second half of December and lasts until April. Air temperature during this period does not exceed + 32 °C, water temperature – not lower than + 23 °C. It is noteworthy that in the Caribbean Sea the water is several degrees warmer than on the Pacific coast.
