Las Lajas beach

The 14 km long coastline is covered in grey and black volcanic sand that gets very hot under the sun, so it's advised to wear special shoes.

The low waves, comfortable sandy sea bottom, warm current in the coastal waters and a smooth descent into water made Las Lajas one of the most popular expensive resorts. Many cheap hotels and bungalows, shops and small private restaurants with great food operate along the beach.

Las Lajas is a great option for a cheap vacation. There are no fashionable establishments here, and the beach doesn't see large crowds of tourists. Spending time with a friend or your children will be great. The beach is surrounded by picturesque tropical thickets but it's not too far away from civilization. You can easily get to the closest localities with supermarkets, markets, shopping malls and entertainment centers where you can buy food and beverages on a rented car.

Air temperature during this period does not exceed + 32 °C, water temperature – not lower than + 23 °C. It is noteworthy that in the Caribbean Sea the water is several degrees warmer than on the Pacific coast.
