Mostly locals and residents of Panama City spend their vacations on Santa Clara, so the beach is crowded during weekends and half-empty during weekdays.

A cheap hotel operates right on the beach, and several high-level hotels can be found in the city. Accomodation is also available in multi-storey buildings near the beach. One can spend the night in a camping site on the shore. There are night clubs, 24/7 restaurants and bars and entertainment complexes on the coast. Famous healing resorts are located in the outskirts of the city.

Favorable time for a beach holiday in Panama begins in the second half of December and lasts until April. Air temperature during this period does not exceed + 32 °C, water temperature – not lower than + 23 °C. It is noteworthy that in the Caribbean Sea the water is several degrees warmer than on the Pacific coast.
