Coronado beach

The beaches of the oldest coastal resort town of Coronado stretch along the Pacific coast of Panama, 100 km away from the capital.

Beach description

The wide coastline is covered in black and white volcanic sand. The descent is smooth, the sea bottom is sandy and the waves aren't high. Due to the length, the beaches of Coronado are never crowded.

The beaches have all the necessary infrastructure for vacation and activities. There are rental stores with hammocks, sunbeds, umbrellas, water equipment such as water skis, jet skis, kayaks, and also a horse riding club, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Coronado is considered to be the most expensive resort in Panama. Many fashionable hotels, apartments, private villas, shopping malls and sports complexes with pools, healing centers and gyms operate along the coastline and in the city. English is the main language in the city, as many migrants from the US and the UK live in the resort area.

When is it better to go

Favorable time for a beach holiday in Panama begins in the second half of December and lasts until April. Air temperature during this period does not exceed + 32 °C, water temperature – not lower than + 23 °C. It is noteworthy that in the Caribbean Sea the water is several degrees warmer than on the Pacific coast.
