Kavatsite beach
Kavatsite is known as one of the best beaches in Sozopol. It is located in a small bay, only 3 km from the city. You can get to it by a special tourist train, as well as by car, bus or taxi on the bypass road.

Beach description
This sandy 2 km long beach has smooth descent and shallow waters. The golden sand that covers the coast is soft and clean, the water is warm is clear and the sea bottom is flat and sandy. Sometimes high waves occur, rescue workers make sure no one swims during these periods.
The Kavatsite Beach doesn't see many visitors, but it's comfortable nonetheless and is perfect for couples or families with children. The beach has a wooden pathway that goes along the shoreline, showers, changing rooms, toilets, parking lots, massage parlors and water attractions. Rental stores with umbrellas and other equipment, beach cafes, bars, shops and ice cream vendors also operate nearby. Several hotels and camping sites are located at the end of the beach.
There's a designated zone for those visitors who come with dogs. Nudists can quite often be met here.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Bulgaria begins in May, although most of its resort areas at this time can only offer relaxation with swimming in the pool, because the sea is still cold. The choice of when to come to rest depends on personal preference. Those who cannot stand the summer heat should come in June or September, and women with children up to a year should also choose this time. For families with older children, a quality beach holiday is guaranteed from the beginning of July, when the sea warms up enough to swim in it without restrictions. The beach season ends at the end of September, although on some beaches in the southern part of the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria the sea remains warm until October.
