Beach description
Rocky beach is characterized by a steep slope into the water and a depth of at least 1.5 meters. In some places ladders are installed for safe descent into the water.
Most of the beaches are rocky except for a couple of areas with sandy and small pebble covering. The bulk sandy beach, awarded the Blue Flag, is located opposite the promenade. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, shower stalls, toilets, shops with drinks and fast food. The beach is quite popular among locals and guests with children. Rescuers are on duty here, providing a high level of security.
Bugibba rocky beaches would be suitable for fans of active leisure. There are water sport stations along the beach, where you can rent equipment for diving, snorkeling, parasailing, boats, catamarans, and boats.
Bugibba is located 22 km from Malta international airport, from where you can come by one of the intercity buses or car rented in the airport.
When is it better to go
The swimming season in Malta lasts from late May to October. The air temperature reaches comfortable +25-30°C, and the water temperature does not fall below +23°C. In some regions of the Maltese archipelago, the water warms up to +26-28°C. In summer, dry, sunny and calm weather prevails. Precipitation is rare. The southern coast of Malta is often influenced by the dry desert winds of Africa, raising high waves and bringing the sultry breath of the Sahara to the islands.
