Ghajn Tuffieha beach

Ghajn Tuffieha is located in a small bay surrounded by green hills with spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. A long staircase leads to the beach covered with fine reddish sand. There is a parking on the hill.

The entry into the water is gentle and easy, the bottom is partly sandy and partly rocky. The water in the bay is more still and warm than in the open sea. There are all kinds of infrastructure necessary for vacation:

• rental of sunbeds and umbrellas,
• пwater equipment rental,
• cafes with regional cuisine,
• rescue stations.

Ghajn Tuffieha is a quite popular beach where where the Maltese and tourists from Western Europe and other countries of the world spend their vacation. There are a lot of guests with children. All kinds of water activities are available: scuba diving, diving, snorkeling, water skiing.

When is it better to go

The swimming season in Malta lasts from late May to October. The air temperature reaches comfortable +25-30°C, and the water temperature does not fall below +23°C. In some regions of the Maltese archipelago, the water warms up to +26-28°C. In summer, dry, sunny and calm weather prevails. Precipitation is rare. The southern coast of Malta is often influenced by the dry desert winds of Africa, raising high waves and bringing the sultry breath of the Sahara to the islands.
