Sliema beach

Sliema beaches are characterised by rocky surface, steep descent into the water and great depth of the sea directly near the beach. Some areas of the beach are equipped with ladders to go down into the water. The water is clean, clear.

Fond Ghadir beach is situated between St. Julians tower and Il Fortizza battery. There are stones pools equipped with ladders for comfortable descent on the beach. When is it better to go

The swimming season in Malta lasts from late May to October. The air temperature reaches comfortable +25-30°C, and the water temperature does not fall below +23°C. In some regions of the Maltese archipelago, the water warms up to +26-28°C. In summer, dry, sunny and calm weather prevails. Precipitation is rare. The southern coast of Malta is often influenced by the dry desert winds of Africa, raising high waves and bringing the sultry breath of the Sahara to the islands.
