Beach description
Welcome to Lučice Beach, a serene haven nestled between sand-and-shingle shores, embraced by the rugged beauty of rocks, junipers, and pines. This secluded gem remains hidden from the prying eyes of hotel windows, offering a tranquil escape for those in search of solitude. Spanning over 200 meters in length and varying from 10 to 24 meters in width, Lučice Beach is an expansive retreat for sun-seekers. The water here is pristine, boasting a clarity that invites swimmers to bask in its warmth, reaching a comfortable 21-25 °C during the summer months. While the sea-floor descends steeply into pebbled depths, the first 3-5 meters provide a safe and enjoyable playground for our youngest guests.
Despite its popularity among locals, Lučice Beach remains a less frequented destination by tourists, ensuring ample space for all - even during the peak season. The mornings offer a particularly peaceful atmosphere, with hardly a soul in sight, and the beach rarely sees visitors from Russia. It is only around 11-12 p.m. that the beach begins to bustle with activity.
Lučice Beach can be characterized by its dual nature:
- The Sandy Stretch: Boasting a well-developed infrastructure, this section caters to those who appreciate the comforts of modern amenities.
- The Wild Rocky Side: For adventurers and nature enthusiasts, this untouched landscape offers a raw and authentic beach experience.
On the infrastructured side, convenience is key. Visitors will find an array of cafes, bars, and restaurants, alongside essential facilities such as shops, changing cabins, beach showers, and toilets. A rental service is available for those wishing to lounge under the sun with a sun lounger and umbrella. Parking areas are also provided for your convenience. For our younger guests, water slides, playgrounds, and diners serving delectable ice cream promise endless fun.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Montenegro for a beach vacation is during the summer months, when the country's Adriatic coast comes alive with sunny weather and warm sea temperatures. Here are the key points to consider:
- Peak Season: July and August are the peak tourist months, offering the hottest weather and a vibrant atmosphere. However, these months can also be crowded.
- Shoulder Season: For a more tranquil experience, consider June or September. The weather is still warm enough for swimming and sunbathing, but the crowds are thinner.
- Off-Peak Times: While May and October offer milder weather and fewer tourists, the sea may not be warm enough for everyone's comfort.
Ultimately, the best time for a beach vacation in Montenegro depends on your preferences for weather, water temperature, and crowd levels. For the warmest sea and liveliest beach scene, aim for the peak summer months. For a more relaxed visit with pleasant conditions, the shoulder season is ideal.
