Mogren beach
Mogren is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Budva Riviera, which is located on a stretch of coast surrounded by picturesque cliffs, not far from the Old Town. You can use the private beach until the end of June for free, but during the season entrance fees are charged (from € 2). With the end of the season, Mogren becomes free again.

Beach description
Mogren Beach is limited by cliffs approaching the water and is covered with a mixture of golden sand with small pebbles. The beach is divided into two parts, separated by a cliff with an opening for convenient transition from one part to another. Mogren-1 – a section of the beach with a length of about 140 m, the length of Mogren-2 is 200 m. The entrance to the water is shallow, the bottom is covered with small pebbles mixed with sand. The water in the bays is calm, warm, high coastal cliffs protect the beach from the winds. The water is very clean and clear.
Both sites are equipped with paid sun loungers and umbrellas (€ 15 per set). In a place free from sunbeds and deckchairs, you can sit on a towel. On Mogren-1 there are shower cabins, toilets (€ 0.5), a cafe, music plays. The season is very crowded and noisy. Many families with children.
Despite the close and easily accessible location on Mogren-2, there are significantly fewer people, which makes it especially attractive in the eyes of lovers of a relaxing holiday. With children, getting through the opening is more difficult. At the foot of the cliffs there is a bar where you can order light snacks, soft and alcoholic drinks. In the northern part of the bay, huge boulders emerge from the water, on which you can see sea urchins.
Both Mogren beaches are regularly cleaned, garbage is removed, sand is leveled. It’s safe to walk barefoot along the shore, but it’s better to go into the water in special shoes, as sea urchins often gather near the shore.
For lovers of sunbathing, it’s better to relax on Mogren in the morning, because in the afternoon the shade from the rocks falls ashore.
When is it better to go
The high season on the beaches of Montenegro begins in July and lasts until September. During this period, here is settled a dry sunny weather, the air temperature reaches + 30 °C, there is almost no rainfall, the Adriatic warms up to very comfortable + 26 °C. Sea resorts are overcrowded to the limit, there are a lot of people on the beaches, prices for accommodation, products and services are at their maximum.

On Mogren-1 you can rent boats, catamarans, kayaks. Both sites are suitable for swimming and sunbathing, scuba diving, snorkeling, diving, kayaking. There are no sports and playgrounds in Mogren due to the limited space of the beach.

How to get there
You can get to Mogren Beach from the Avala Hotel with a statue of a dancer in Old Town along a railing fenced along a cliff over the sea. Extreme sportsmen choose a dangerous path along slippery sharp stones from a medieval fort in the rocks.
