Ploce beach
Ploce is a large beach complex located 9 km from Budva, on the coast, surrounded by picturesque rock formations of volcanic origin. For the convenience of holidaymakers, the shore is lined with elaborately decorated concrete slabs and terraces descending to the water. Ploce is a popular coastal destination, where a lot of noisy youth companies have a rest during the season, so lovers of peace and silence should go to another beach.

Beach description
On multi-level concrete terraces there are sun loungers, umbrellas and tables, which are rented at a price of € 12 per set. Rest on a towel by the water is not welcome. On the pier there are special ladders for descending into the water. Depth is significant right off the coast. The water is clean and transparent to such an extent that the bottom is visible at a depth of several tens of meters. Walking on hot plates barefoot is almost impossible. There is a small sand and gravel area with a gentle slope. The sea in this part of the coast is often troubled.
Four pools with sea water are equipped on Ploce, two of which are paddling pools for children. The other two are designed for a comfortable rest for adults. Right in one of the pools there are many tables under umbrellas, where you can have a snack and drink cocktails without leaving the water.
There are showers with fresh water, changing rooms, toilets. Entrance to the territory is free, but security guards constantly checking the things of vacationers – it is forbidden to come to the beach with your drinks and food. Personal stockpiles of violators are seized and disposed of.
In summer, Ploce is almost always crowded. Music is constantly playing on the beach, club life is in full swing. Among vacationers there are many lovers of active entertainment, adherents of various types of water sports.
It is quite comfortable with children on Ploce, but parents need to be especially vigilant, because the plates are narrow, there are a lot of people, and the child can accidentally fall into the water. Older children happily climb concrete slabs and dive into the water. Children’s animators and swimming instructors work, a playground is equipped.
When is it better to go
The high season on the beaches of Montenegro begins in July and lasts until September. During this period, here is settled a dry sunny weather, the air temperature reaches + 30 °C, there is almost no rainfall, the Adriatic warms up to very comfortable + 26 °C. Sea resorts are overcrowded to the limit, there are a lot of people on the beaches, prices for accommodation, products and services are at their maximum.

Where to stop
Near Ploce there are no large settlements with residential tourist complexes, so vacationers from Budva and other resort towns come to the beach, where a lot of hotels, apartments, guest houses, hostels are concentrated.
What to do
On Ploce, you can rent catamarans, boats, yachts, and jet skis. You can go diving, flyboarding, surfing, parasailing, water skiing. Directly on the beach you can buy balls, diving masks and fins. Beach volleyball and football courts are available. There are billiards and table tennis. Often held discos, foam parties, entertainment events. Attractions for adults and children work.

On Ploce there is a restaurant where you can order Balkan, European, Mediterranean cuisines. You can eat tasty and inexpensively in one of the beach cafes. Refreshing drinks and coffee can be bought at cafes, bars and kiosks.

How to get there
On Ploce it is better to leave from Budva in a rented car. There is plenty of free parking near the beach.
- Bus service from Budva has been established. Buses depart every hour and a half along the Budva-Jaz-Trsteno-Ploce route. Ticket price – € 2.
- A taxi ride will cost about € 10.
- A pleasure boat trip will cost from € 5.
