Sveti Nikola Island beach

The island of St. Nicholas is 1 km from the coast of Budva, opposite the Slovenska Plaza. On a rocky, densely overgrown island of 40 hectares, there are many secluded rocky and pebbly wild beaches where it is deserted even in high season.

Beach description

One of the most popular beaches is Hawaii with the restaurant of the same name, which is located in a small bay at the narrow tip of the island. The territory of the beach of Hawaii is covered with small pebbles. The entrance to the water is gentle, the water is clear, calm. It is advisable to enter the water in shoes, since there are many sea urchins at the bottom. The restaurant provides sun loungers, sun loungers, umbrellas for the price of € 10 to € 15. Rest on towels is not welcome. Showers, changing cabins, toilets, sports grounds are equipped. Rescue service works. The prices in the restaurant and in several cafes located in different parts of the island are overpriced, but it is forbidden to come with your own food and drinks.

Along the rocky coast there are several equipped pebble beaches with well-developed infrastructure. There are also wild secluded beaches that can be reached by swimming. There is no infrastructure, but completely deserted.

When is it better to go

The high season on the beaches of Montenegro begins in July and lasts until September. During this period, here is settled a dry sunny weather, the air temperature reaches + 30 °C, there is almost no rainfall, the Adriatic warms up to very comfortable + 26 °C. Sea resorts are overcrowded to the limit, there are a lot of people on the beaches, prices for accommodation, products and services are at their maximum.

How to get there

You can get to the island on a pleasure boat from the Slavic beach. The ticket will cost € 3-5. Children are transported free of charge. You can get to the island by sea taxi, which leaves every 30 minutes. It is advisable to keep the ticket, as a round-trip trip is paid.
