Chica beach

Playa Chica is located in Puerto del Carmen. Its entire coast is covered with dark yellow sand; natural rock breakwaters enclose the bay on both sides. It was volcanic reefs that made this beach very popular among lovers of swimming underwater. The opportunities for diving and snorkeling here are the best on the island, the underwater world in the bay is surprisingly rich and diverse. You can also swim and sunbathe on the beach with great comfort. Thanks to the rocks there are never waves, and the sandy bottom allows you to enter the water as comfortably as possible. This place is suitable for young children.

The beach is urban, so there are:

• water closets;
• a shower;
• ice cream stalls;
• parking lot.

There is a diving school right on the coast. Nearby there are several restaurants and cafes, shops, hotels.

When is it better to go

Lanzarote has the coolest climate in the Canary Archipelago. The island has virtually no vegetation and no natural protection from the winds. In summer, the air temperature rises to +26 °C, water – up to 20 °C.
