Flamingo beach

A not very large (225 m long and 50 m wide) section of the beach was created artificially. Here you will find clean light imported sand and reliable breakwaters. There is shallow water which warms up well. The beach is suitable for families with children, it is popular with tourists and is often crowded.

Playa Flamingo is well equipped for relaxation. Here you can rent:

• lawn chairs;
• parasols;
• sports equipment.

There are showers and toilets on the beach. There is a lively promenade nearby with several restaurants and shops. Amusement parks are nearby. Hotels are both in close proximity to the beach and at some distance from it.

Sights

There are several interesting sites near Flamingo. The most unusual and popular:

1. Castillo de las Coloradas watchtower, built in the 18th century.

2. The unique underwater sculpture museum (Museo Atlántico Underwater Museum), which can be viewed as part of organized diving groups.

When is it better to go

Lanzarote has the coolest climate in the Canary Archipelago. The island has virtually no vegetation and no natural protection from the winds. In summer, the air temperature rises to +26 °C, water – up to 20 °C.
