Beach description
Hanubio is a natural attraction of the island, a vivid illustration of its "volcanic past." It is located in the south of Lanzarote, near the village of Yaiza. The coast of the beach is covered with sand and pebbles. It is not suitable for swimming due to strong winds, large waves and rocky entry into the water.
The beach is wild, there are no additional opportunities for recreation on the shore. On the hills around there are several viewing platforms. Free parking is available nearby.
The nearest locality to the beach is Yaiza village. There you can find apartments and rental houses.
Yaiza village is a picturesque and cozy place with original architecture. It is interesting to walk along, combining an excursion with a visit to souvenir shops. Particular attention should be paid to the House of Armas and the church of Senora Remedios (17th c.).
When is it better to go
Lanzarote has the coolest climate in the Canary Archipelago. The island has virtually no vegetation and no natural protection from the winds. In summer, the air temperature rises to +26 °C, water – up to 20 °C.
