Kalim beach

The bottom of the beach consists mostly of stones and dead corals, so swimming in Kalim Bay is not a good idea for a beginner or a child. In addition, it is worth taking special shoes with you, because there is rather coarse sand. But in the low season, this beach becomes a great place for fans of windsurfing.

Kalim is honored to be visited not only by athletes, but also by gourmets. There are several gourmet restaurants on the beach, including Italian as well as atmospheric bars. Each place has an authentic decor and exceptional hospitality. They tempt visitors with such delicacies as mataba, noodle soup, roti cakes, Thai ice cream, as well as a wide selection of soft drinks.

At high tide, guests can go snorkelling. Kalim also hosts major windsurfing competitions. Another popular local entertainment can be considered zorbing. The beach patrons are not confused by the absence of sun loungers on it. The fabulous landscapes opening from here more than compensate for the lack of infrastructure.

Local hotels do not suffer from overcrowding, so for most of the year guests of Kalim have no problems with accommodation. It's easy to get here - you need to walk to Patong Beach and turn right. You will see a rocky beach framed by high hills - this will be Kalim.

When is it better to go

The best time for a beach holiday in Phuket lasts from November to April or May. The weather during this period is sunny, calm, the sea is calm, there are almost no waves. The height of the beach season falls on December, when a number of major international holidays are added to water activities.
