Yanui beach

Yanui Beach, nestled between the scenic Windmill Viewpoint and the iconic Promthep Cape at the southernmost tip of Phuket, is a hidden gem that has captured the hearts of tourists worldwide. Particularly beloved by enthusiasts of snorkeling, diving, and kayaking, Yanui Beach offers an idyllic escape into a world of underwater wonder and coastal adventure.

Beach description

A unique rock formation divides Ya Nui Bay into two parts. In front of it, an island adorned with lush greenery emerges from the sea. Along the edges of the beach, slopes covered with vibrant forbs rise, adding to the picturesque scenery. The water in the lagoon astonishes with its emerald hues and clarity, except perhaps in the northern part, where a small river merges with the sea. At guests' disposal, there is the option to rent beach equipment and explore the underwater world with a diving center. The thatched-roof beachfront restaurant offers an array of exquisite Thai dishes, enhancing the tropical experience.

Finding Yanui is a breeze. From Patong Beach, head towards Nai Harn Beach. By following the signs to Promthep Cape and Rawai Beach, you will eventually reach the parking lot. Adjacent to it, you'll find a welcoming beach restaurant, and opposite, the enchanting Ya Nui Beach itself.

When is the Best Time to Visit?

The best time to visit Phuket for a beach vacation is during the island's dry season, which typically runs from November to April. This period offers the most favorable weather conditions for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities.

  • November to February: This is the peak tourist season in Phuket, with cool and dry weather. The temperatures are comfortable for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. It's also the perfect time for exploring the island's natural beauty without the discomfort of excessive heat.
  • March to April: These months are characterized by hotter temperatures but still provide excellent beach conditions. The water remains calm and clear, ideal for snorkeling and diving. However, as it approaches the Thai New Year (Songkran Festival) in mid-April, expect larger crowds and vibrant celebrations.

While the May to October period is the monsoon season with higher chances of rain and rougher seas, it can still be suitable for visitors who prefer a quieter experience and don't mind the occasional shower. However, for the quintessential beach vacation in Phuket, the dry season months are undoubtedly the best choice.
