Karon Beach, Phuket
Karon is a 3km long and 70m wide public beach located on the territory of the same name resort on the Western coast of Phuket. Along the coast stretch picturesque green lawns with lush tropical vegetation.

Beach description
Karon is covered with fine fair sand. The entrance to the sea is gentle, it's deep in a few steps from the shore. The bottom is sandy and dense. Very often quite high waves appear and powerful back streams are formed, so Karon is considered dangerous for swimming. For families with children, it is advisable to choose a different place. In a small bay near Centara Grand Beach Resort the sea is very calm.
The beach has an excellent infrastructure. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, paid showers and toilets. A lot of space for leisure on your own mat. In the Central part of the beach is a Green Zone with artificial reservoir decorated with a golden dragon figurine. Sportsgrounds and playgrounds for children equipped. Karon is quite crowded, but the feeling of the crowd is not created by the width and length. The main contingent is an adult solid audience. Very few youth and families with noisy children. On the coast there are many secluded areas where the adherents of peace and quiet rest. If people come to the beach in the evening, they will be able to find comfortable places under the trees shades.
When is it better to go
The best time for a beach holiday in Phuket lasts from November to April or May. The weather during this period is sunny, calm, the sea is calm, there are almost no waves. The height of the beach season falls on December, when a number of major international holidays are added to water activities. Prices for airline tickets, accommodation, services, food and transportation are at their maximum.

Along the beach several hotels with own beach areas located. The best hotels offer luxurious rooms and a wide range of services, including swimming pools, restaurants, bars, fitness centers and more. Also tourists can settle in 2-3 star mini-hotels, guesthouses or apartments.
Where to eat
Karon is full of places where people can have a lunch, among which are both expensive restaurants and small cafes, bars, makushitas, where tourists are offered good food for reasonable price. The city has a huge number of places where everyone will find an affordable menu.
In the Central part there is a small market with cheap local fruit. Also tourists can eat home-made food buying products in supermarkets and markets.
What to do
Karon is a perfect place for kitesurfing, windsurfing, parasailing, water skiing and other activities. Jet ski, motorboat and other kinds of boats can be rented. Extremely popular boat trips to the Similan Islands, Phi Phi, James Bond island. If coming here with children, Dino Park must be visited, where there are interesting attractions and a small restaurant. There are no discos and nightclubs on Karon, so the youth prefer to go to other places to have fun.
