Bananier beach

Bananier is one of the most beautiful beaches in Guadeloupe. It is known for its black sand, crystal clear waters and lush palm trees growing a few meters from the sea. On its territory, there is a restaurant serving Creole cuisine and mouth-watering drinks. It has +40 seats and a cozy terrace overlooking the endless expanse of water.

Beach description

The beach's length is 200 meters, and its width - 30 meters. Good waves and cool wind are this place's features. The depth rise is gradual along the whole shore. One other advantage of de Bananier is its cleanliness and the absence of large crowds (compared to other beaches of the island).

Please note: a chocolate workshop with trademark desserts operates 100 meters away from the beach.

The frequent visitors of Bananier include locals, surfers, families and tourists who seek calm and quiet atmosphere. You can always find a free spot here (except for peak days of high season). You can get here by bus, car or taxi.

When is the best time to go?

It is best to go to Guadeloupe from December to May, as the weather at this time is set dry and fresher than in other months. However, it should be borne in mind that in December, during the holidays, many tourists arrive to celebrate Christmas and New Year, which affects prices.
