Pain de Sucre beach

As a rule, you will not get to the best beaches right by car, since they are reached by an inaccessible hiking trail. Well, Pain de Sucre Beach is not an exception! To get to the beach is possible only if you have comfortable sandals or sneakers. Do not go for such a walk in the midday heat, since the walk will take about 40 minutes from Terre-de-Haut. You can get here by water from the Trois-Rivieres, which is the starting point for boats that bring holidaymakers to the beach and back during the day.

Beach description

The crystal clear aquamarine water washes the golden sandy shore beautified by a picturesque mountain covered in greens. Pain de Sucre Beach is similar to the neighboring beaches in its comfort and landscapes. The descent into the water is smooth anywhere on the beach, with shallow waters close to the shore. But mind your step, as sea urchins that can injure you live here. They usually dwell in seaweed, so don't step there.

The water is very transparent. The underwater world is lively near the rocky parts - especially fascinating are corals, sea sponges, numerous fish and other dwellers that make snorkeling and diving sessions exciting. And one more thing: there are no shops or restaurants near the beach - you'll have to take a 10-minute walk to the main road. So we advise to at least take some water with you to quench your thirst.

When is the best time to go?

It is best to go to Guadeloupe from December to May, as the weather at this time is set dry and fresher than in other months. However, it should be borne in mind that in December, during the holidays, many tourists arrive to celebrate Christmas and New Year, which affects prices.
