Petite Terre beach

This beach is located on the islands of the same name, and more specifically on Terre-de-Bass island. It is located southeast of Guadeloupe and is a reserve covered with dense thickets of palm trees and ferns, and inhabited with rare species of animals and insects. Moreover, if we talk about people, then no one inhabits it at all. It is a deserted wild island, which has no infrastructure, but there is virgin nature, which can hardly be found today on the globe.

Beach description

You can get here from Saint Francois by boat, the trip here will take 1,5 to 2 hours. The trip costs 80 euros. Be prepared for a "bumpy" ride, as heavy sea rolling may happen (ocean is no joke, after all).

The shore itself is golden and sandy. It may be dirty, covered in seaweed and other garbage that waves bring during storms. The water is otherwise calm, but heavy tides can occur, so if you plan to partake in snorkeling, don't forget to take flippers. Also note that small sharks may dwell near the shore, but don't worry - they're harmless.

When is the best time to go?

It is best to go to Guadeloupe from December to May, as the weather at this time is set dry and fresher than in other months. However, it should be borne in mind that in December, during the holidays, many tourists arrive to celebrate Christmas and New Year, which affects prices.
