Pompierre's adventages are:
- perfect conditions for diving - bizarre reefs, exotic fish and various rock formations await;
- soft sand with no stones, sea urchins or sharp objects;
- clean air and clear water;
- many palms that protect tourists from the heat.
Gazebos for picnics are installed on the beach. A cafe with cheap prices operates 500 m away from it. Hotels and shops are located a bit farther away.
Pompierre fills up with tourists from Guadeloupe at 12 o'clock. If you want to enjoy wild nature and calmness, it's advised to come earlier. You can get here on foot (from Le Marigot) or by boat.
When is the best time to go?
It is best to go to Guadeloupe from December to May, as the weather at this time is set dry and fresher than in other months. However, it should be borne in mind that in December, during the holidays, many tourists arrive to celebrate Christmas and New Year, which affects prices.
