Clifton beach
Clifton is one of the best beaches on the Atlantic coast of Cape Town, which is located in a fashionable suburb at the foot of Mount Lion's Head. The wide coastline, covered with white sand, is surrounded by magnificent hotels, villas and country houses.

Beach description
Clifton Beach is characterized by impeccable cleanliness of the territory and coastal waters. The descent into the water is gentle, the bottom is sandy-rocky. The bottom is deep a few meters from the beach. The tidal wave is high.
The beach is divided into four sections:
- On the first section, surf lovers and locals gather.
- The second is occupied by young people, there are playgrounds for beach volleyball, football, baseball.
- The third, smallest site, was chosen by representatives of gay communities from different countries.
- Fourth – the most glamorous section of Clifton, awarded the Blue Flag. At the fourth beach, luxury yachts often anchor from which vacationers sail to the shore by boat.
The whole territory is equipped with sun loungers, there are restaurants and cafes, showers and toilets, water sports stations, where Clifton visitors are prepared with boats, boats and equipment for water skiing, parasailing, snorkeling.
Along the beach there is a promenade with expensive restaurants, nightclubs, shops, entertainment and sports complexes.
When is it better to go
The best time for a beach holiday and swimming on the coast of South Africa falls in the low season – from November to March. The water temperature in the Indian Ocean rises to + 23-25 °C, in the Atlantic – to + 18-20 °C. The air temperature reaches + 30 °C, but the fresh ocean breeze makes you feel comfortable.
