Llandudno beach

Llandudno Beach is located on the Atlantic coast in the suburbs of Cape Town.

Beach description

The wide coastline, surrounded by giant boulders, is covered with white sand. The descent into the water is gentle, but it is impossible to swim due to high waves and low water temperature. The bottom is sandy and rocky. The beach has a picturesque landscape and privacy.

Rescuers are on duty at Llandudno, there are no more amenities for vacationers. The usual visitors to the beach are surfers. High tidal waves and strong winds provide the best conditions for flying on the crest of a wave.

You can get to Llandudno Beach by taxi or rented car on the highway connecting Cape Town with Cape Point.

When is it better to go

The best time for a beach holiday and swimming on the coast of South Africa falls in the low season – from November to March.  The water temperature in the Indian Ocean rises to + 23-25 °C, in the Atlantic – to + 18-20 °C. The air temperature reaches + 30 °C, but the fresh ocean breeze makes you feel comfortable.
