Sidi Bou Said beach

The narrow coastline, covered with fine golden and beige sand, lies at the foot of the hills, built up with elegant white and blue houses. The hills, which offer a breathtaking view of the sea, the beach and city buildings, protect the beach from the wind. The descent is smooth and the sea bottom is sandy. The sea is still. Waves rise during the rainy season, when the swimming season is coming to an end.

Sidi Bou Said is very popular with locals, Tunisians from other regions and tourists. On particularly hot summer days, it is teeming with crowds of holidaymakers who flood the entire beach and water. The beach is equipped with umbrellas and deck chairs. When there are not enough sun loungers and umbrellas, holidaymakers sit on towels. The main thing is to provide yourself with a shadow. It's better to buy an umbrella and take it with you. There is a water sports station. There is a marina with a yacht club in the northern part of the beach. There are always enough people wanting to ride a yacht, water ski, parachute, jet ski.

Sidi Bou Said is an extremely picturesque town, which is an architectural landmark itself. It often became a model for artists and even appeared in one of the episodes of the famous film epic about the misfortunes of golden-haired Angelica. Not far away, there are the ruins of Carthage, where you can go on an excursion. You can get to Sidi Bou Said from the city center by taxi or subway.

When is it better to go

During this period, the least amount of precipitation falls, calm weather prevails, the sea is calm, and a storm rarely occurs. In July and August it becomes especially hot.
