Agios Romanos beach

The beach is located 6 km northwest of the city of Tinos. This beach is loved by both locals and tourists, for its crystal blue waters and soft sand. It itself has an elongated long shape, so that it can accommodate a sufficient number of vacationers. The most convenient way to get to this beach is by car along the new road leading from the city of Kionia. Also, bus tours to this coast are organized from Tinos (departure in the morning - return in the evening).

Beach description

Agios Romanos is a wild beach, but several kilometers apart, there is a tavern with the traditional Greek cuisine. Many tamarisks were planted along the beach, creating natural shadow. It's a frequently visited and crowded recreation place because it is distinguished for the increased comfort in terms of weather conditions and smooth water entry.

A wonderful view of Siros island and Pigadia beach with crystal clear water, to which one can get by an uneven path, opens from the beach. Close to this place, on the left edge of the beach, there is also St. Romans chapel where small boats are moored.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
