Vourni beach
This is a small, very cozy and well-organized beach. Golden sand sets off the green of tamarisks and blue water surface. Usually it has a lot of tourists, including with children. This is due to the shallow depth and flat bottom of the coast. As the beach is in the bay, the water here is very calm and not muddy. As for the wind, a light sea breeze blows - there are no strong gusts of wind.

On the beach, you can rent sling chairs and umbrellas, although soft sand allows lying right on it. the beach is very clean, it is provided by local traders owning beach cafes. It is a quiet and picturesque place using high popularity among tourists.
A bit higher, there is a church of Agia Talassini with the typical Greek architecture: light blue dome, white monolith walls, and ascetic shapes. It is open to everybody, just don't forget about proper clothes. Moreover, there is a traditional Greek restaurant and rooms to stay for a night, above the beach.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
