Pachia Ammos beach

Pahia Ammos is located 10 km from the main town of Tinos, next to Lichnaftia Beach. This is one of the most secluded and exotic beaches with fantastic dunes of fine golden sand with a greenish shade that end with a beautiful turquoise sea. The beach is considered to be calm not only because of the lack of crowds of tourists, but also due to moderate winds and calm sea surface. If the wind blows from the north, its powerful gusts are observed on the beach.

Beach description

This is a wild beach with idyllic atmosphere where you can be sure that nobody is going to disturb you. It is a virgin nature corner without any beach facilities which makes it unique. High above the beach, there is a bar restaurant with a swimming pool so you won't walk away hungry, for sure. But anyway, it's better to take a basket with some food for picnic.

Even tourists with children come to enjoy this well-preserved primaeval Greek paradise. Shallow water and even bottom in the center add more points to this decision. Moreover, the abundance of soft sand allows small explorers create real architectural masterpieces. Just don't forget about the umbrella and the sun protection cream.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
