Isternia beach
This beach is focused on outdoor activities. On it you can often meet lovers of water sports. It is located at the foot of the village of the same name, 13 km north-west of the city of Tinos. It consists half of sand, half of pebbles. There are several cafes and taverns on the territory, so after several rides on steep waves, you can relax with a glass of beer or real Greek wine. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent.

Beach description
In clear night, the beach offers a splendid view of sunset and neighboring islands. It is a romantic place, perfect for a proposal to your beloved person.
This beach is located in a bay, so it is protected better than other beaches. And anyway, it still exists. The sea expanse is "diluted" by waves but they are rather stable and predictable. Water depth is medium. You can safely swim even near the water edge, without fearing to scratch you knees against the sea bottom.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
