Las Gatas Beach
In the spoken language of tourists it is more familiar to hear the Las Gatas beach, the name refers to the ancient shark genus “nannies / nurses”. About 5 km separates the beach from the city of Zihuatanejo, white sand covers the area. It is a shallow, not deep beach with corals and small waves.

If choose the type of transport, by which it is possible to get to Las Gatas, then it is the only one - a motor boat. Or you will have to get on foot along a steep route. Due to its hard-to-reach location, the beach is not crowded, most often it is chosen by lovers of rare, unexplored objects or tourists, eager to go scuba diving - Las Gatas beach with its cliff bays is ideal for this.
History lovers or couples with children can visit the Archaeological Museum of the Great Coast (archaeological museum) and the lighthouse, spa hotels on the coastline are suitable for a romantic trip. And judges of extreme immersion will take a breath and have a snack in the picturesque coastal restaurants, where fresh seafood is the main ingredient.
When is the best time to go?
From May to October, heavy rains and tornadoes are usually played off the Mexican coasts. So the best time to visit the country is from November to March. However, it should be mindful of that prices in the high season are higher than usual.
