Revolcadero is the 4-kilometer beach situated in the southern part of Acapulco resort. It is unsuitable for family recreation due to high waves dangerous for children and unexperienced swimmers. Instead, this place has perfect conditions for sunbathing, walking by the shore, and extreme swimming.
Revolcadero is valued for the following merits:
- scarcity of people - there is plenty of free rom and few tourists here;
- calm atmosphere - the beach has no noisy bars, night clubs, or crowds of tourists;
- good ecology - water here is the clearest in the entire Acapulco;
- very green area - a thick tropical forest grows neat the beach;
- a curious relief - Revolcadero is located at the foot of large hills.
Revolcadero is popular among surfers, divers, experienced swimmers and people preferring secluded vacations. Moreover, there is always plenty of room here.
Sharp depth increase, soft sea bottom, and cooler (compared to other resort locations) water are typical for the beach. Sharp stones on the beach surface are rare. But in order to avoid injuries, it's enough to look under your feet.
90% of Revolcadero guests relax in the central part of the beach that forms the center of nearly all infrastructure. Having walked 200 meters away from bars and restaurants, you will find numerous places for secluded vacations.
When is the best time to go?
From May to October, heavy rains and tornadoes are usually played off the Mexican coasts. So the best time to visit the country is from November to March. However, it should be mindful of that prices in the high season are higher than usual.

Buses seldom go to the beach. If you have such a possibility, get here by personal transport or taxi. Don't swim far from the beach at any weather. This is one of the most unpacific beaches of Mexico. There are no beach rescuers or first medical aid stations here.
During the day, the local sand is heated to high temperatures, so you need protecting shoes to comfortably move down the beach a this time. The best time to visit Revolcadero beach is late spring and early autumn. It is very hot here in summer.
