Agios Georgios beach
Agios Georgios is a small beach in the village of the same name near the town of Pegeia on Cape Drepanon. On both sides the beach is surrounded by high cliffs. On the left side of Agios Georgios, a long rocky boat pier was built. To the south and north of the beach in the rocks you can find secluded coves, as if created by nature itself for those who seek solitude and beautiful places for unforgettable photos. In the sea near the beach there is a picturesque rocky islet of Yeronisos, which is a peculiar symbol of this place.

Beach description
Agios Georgios Beach is a 100-meter stretch of soft light yellow sand surrounded by cliffs and a bright blue sea. This place is popular among lovers for a walk at sunset. The sea on the beach is calm without waves and currents, so even families with small children can relax in this part of Cyprus.
Near Agios Georgios there is a small archaeological site with the ruins of a 6th-century basilica. Until nowadays we partially see the mosaic floor on the territory of the site. Among the ruins you can find several tombs carved into the rocks, which date from the Roman period. In addition, Ayios Georgios is an extremely popular pilgrimage destination on Cape Drepanon in the Paphos region.
When is it better to go?
The holiday season begins in Cyprus at the end of April, when the water in the sea warms up enough to feel comfortable for swimming. June – is the most comfortable month for relaxation: the temperature is pleasant, up to 26 to 30 degrees, the sea breeze freshes and tones up. In July-August, the island becomes too thick and glowing, but in September-October, comfortable conditions turn back again.
