Fontana Amorosa beach
Blue Lagoon (Fontana Amorosa) is territorially owned by a national park located on the Akamas Peninsula. Access to the Blue Lagoon is not so simple that helps to keep these places in their original form under the close supervision of UNESCO. The unique waters of the Gulf of Amorosa are also associated with the name of the goddess Aphrodite.

Beach description
Fontana Amorosa is not a classic beach view. The largest gulf on the peninsula has in places a sandy, in some places a rocky bottom with a depth of up to 3-5 m. The water is unusually clear, saturated blue. A narrow strip of land along the water's edge is covered with pebbles and sand.
Snorkeling and diving is a favorite activity of tourists arriving here. The rocks have a lot of fish and turtles, a reef located a little further from the coast, and small rock formations provide a large field for exploration. It has a predominantly wild beach.
Numerous tourists seek to see the baths of Aphrodite, from which they usually get to Fontana Amorosa on foot. A small grotto with a fresh spring is located approximately 5.5 km from the Blue Lagoon. Near it, a small botanical garden flourishes, you can relax in the gazebo, wander along the paths.

When is it better to go?
The holiday season begins in Cyprus at the end of April, when the water in the sea warms up enough to feel comfortable for swimming. June – is the most comfortable month for relaxation: the temperature is pleasant, up to 26 to 30 degrees, the sea breeze freshes and tones up. In July-August, the island becomes too thick and glowing, but in September-October, comfortable conditions turn back again.

Infrastructure
Not every tourist will master the independent walking trip to Fontana Amorosa due to the complexity of the route. More vacationers get there as part of an organized excursion or in an all-wheel drive car along a dirt dusty road with beautiful views around. One more way – to rent a boat. Even on a small craft, the road will not be as tiring as walking, it will take about 30 minutes.
In the conservation area where the beach is located, it is forbidden to erect any structures, so from the sea the coast looks like a completely wild place. Only colorful boats and yachts revive the landscape.
The only hotel that operates in the conservation area was built at one time by the Prime Minister of Cyprus, who was soon removed from office. Abuse of his position was not in vain.
Accommodation at Anassa , 5 * will become the most expensive in Cyprus, but around there is a reserved silence, and in the next apartment some Prince of Monaco will shuffle slippers.
The nearest settlements where you could stay without being a millionaire are Polis or Lachi village. Caprice Spa Kosher Resort , 3.5 * - optimal placement option. The resort and spa hotel in the village has a great location next to the beach and the airport, and its own parking. Comfortable beds, the presence of a spa center, and a treatment pool greatly contribute to quality rest. There is also a children's pool and a steam bath. The cozy pool bar offers kosher, buffet, vegan and vegetarian dishes. Tourists use the kitchenette and barbecue facilities. Ground floor suites overlook their own lawn.
There is an old port in the village, on the boat park of which it is nice to stare. Here the usual motor exhibits are adjacent to luxury sailing yachts. In local taverns and restaurants they will serve excellent fresh fish. Lunch with barbecue, squid and wine will be relatively inexpensive.
A wonderful menu will be offered in Anassa, but the price level here is completely different.

- To travel to the Blue Lagoon, you can rent a car, ATV or buggy. For greater freedom of movement, a mountain bike is ideal, this type of transport is most likely to be useful on local wild paths.
- The high season, which peaks in July-August, is characterized by a large influx of guests. You need to worry about the place of residence a couple of months before the trip.
