Monastiri beach

Monastiri is a 200-m long sand beach located in a rocky bay. It is surrounded with tall trees, stone plates, picturesque mountains and architectural masterpieces. From its beach, one can see splendid yachts, mountain tops of Hellas, and endless waters painted in emerald.

Small length of Monastiri is compensated by the coast width (approximately 100 meters). Due to this, one can always find room here. This beach is also famous for its perfect order, soft sea bottom, clear air, and windless weather. It is very quiet, calm, an safe here.

Monastiri is popular among families with children, loving couples, and gastro tourists. These and other categories of people come here to enjoy tropical cocktails on the beach, take sun baths of deck chairs with comfort, and swim in clear and warm waters of Aegean Sea.

Moreover, 50 m away from the beach, the ancient Greek amphitheatre is situated - it is a structure with unique energy bringing tourists to the atmosphere of the past.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
