Peristeria beach
Located in the south of the island of Salamis next to the village of Peristeria. One of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches of the island. It is divided into two parts by a protruding pier, on which a small church of St. Nicholas lurks. In honor of her, the northern part of the beach is called St. Nicholas Beach Peristeria. This area is not equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, but there are showers and toilets, and the coastline is regularly cleaned from debris and algae. There is a small tavern and a bar with drinks on the beach.

Beach description
The central part of the beach is located on the right side of the mole; it's a cozy bay, protected from the sea by two small picturesque islets. As it's always quiet here and almost no waves, this place is loved by yachtsmen, who organized a marina (yacht dock). The best taverns and restaurants (and the most expensive ones) are concentrated here, where visitors can use free umbrellas and deck chairs.
To the right of the marina, a lovely sandy beach begins with small amounts of pebbles to which trees and shrubs descend from the surrounding hills. This part of the Peristeria is not developed, which does not bother many tourists at all. The bottom of the sea is sandy and safe, the water, despite the proximity of yachts, is crystal clear and transparent. It' s comfortable here for both adults and children who equally enjoy splashing in the local waters and admiring the snow-white sailboats.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
