Vagia beach
Located in the north of the Greek island of Aegina. Not so long ago, there was only a small fishing village, and now the surroundings of the beach have become a favorite vacation spot for tourists and locals with developed resort infrastructure.

Beach description
A quite spacious sandy beach is surrounded by hills covered with conifers and olive trees, which fill the area with intoxicating aroma and create a magnificent natural shade.
On the right side of the sea there is a small stone breakwater, from which both children and adults love to dive. The bottom is sandy, the water is crystal clear, so the probability of encountering sea urchins is reduced to zero.
On the beach, there are all conditions for a pleasant and comfortable vacation, there is an opportunity to do water sports, to play beach volleyball.
Next to the beach, there is a small harbour where pleasure yachts and fishing boats dock. Here you can buy a freshly caught fish or treat yourself with dishes from seafood prepared in local taverns.
On the shore, there's also a small cafe where visitors are offered frappes, fast food and refreshments. Usually, parking is not a problem, and in some places you can drive up to the edge of the sea.
The surroundings of Vagia, as attractive as the beach itself, have unique healing springs and ancient archaeological objects.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
